Pit

A recessed area on the tooth’s surface. Occurs most often where the grooves of the tooth meet. The most common treatment for a pit in the enamel of a tooth include Porcelain Inlays, Onlays and Veneers; however, most cosmetic dentists will not offer a veneer covering for one tooth.
