Periodontitis

Inflammation and/or loss of any connective tissue of the teeth’s supporting or surrounding structure, resulting in tooth loss. If left untreated, bacteria laden plaque can advance under the tooth's surface and affect the dentin, pulp and eventually tooth roots. Severe periodontitis can lead to tooth loss. Patients suffering from periodontitis may consider Gingivectomy, General Dental Work, Free Soft Tissue Graft or a number of other procedures prescribed by a dental specialist.
